If you would like to enable Live Activities for Opal, you are welcome to do so! The feature works with Opal on devices that have the Dynamic Island enabled. There's more information on what devices are compatible here. Otherwise, here's when you'll see Live Activities:
- When you unblock an app (regardless of whether it was blocked via Time Limit, Open Limit, or Schedule) and lock your device, a Live Activity appears
- When your device is unlocked, the remaining unblock time will be shown in the Dynamic Island
- When you start a Timer and lock your device, a Live Activity appears
- When your device is unlocked, the remaining amount of time left on your Timer will be shown in the Dynamic Island
How do I turn on and off Live Activities on my iOS device?
To turn on and off your Live Activities, follow these steps:
- Exit Opal
- Navigate to your device "Settings"
- Tap on "Face ID & Passcode" (or "Touch ID & Passcode")
- Enter your passcode
- Scroll down and toggle "Live Activities" on or off
If you would alternatively like to allow or deny Live Activities for specific apps, follow these steps:
- Exit Opal
- Navigate to your device "Settings"
- Tap on "Apps"
- Scroll to and tap on the specific app
- Toggle "Live Activities" on or off
