If you are going on vacation or simply want to take a break from blocking apps or websites, you can do so easily on the iOS version of Opal. Here’s is how to do it:
- Open the Opal app
- Tap on “My Apps”
- Tap on the Rule you’d like to disable listed below your “Rules”
- If the Rule is not currently active:
- Tap “Disable Rule”
- Select the number of days you’d like to disable the Rule for
- Tap Confirm
- If the Rule is currently active, you will need to edit it. To edit it:
- Follow the steps here to edit a Schedule
- Follow the steps here to edit a Open Limit
- Follow the steps here to edit a Time Limit
After the amount of days you’ve selected, the Rule will automatically be re-enabled. You may re-enable the Rule by tapping on its card and tapping “More,” then tapping “Re-enable Rule.”
Why doesn't Vacation Mode allow me to maintain my Streak?
Streaks reward you for sticking to your Rules daily. After all, everyone benefits from time away from their device! That said, if you opt to disable your existing Rules, you are welcome to set up another Rule while you're on vacation that won't impact the apps or websites you may need while on vacation. That way, you may maintain your Streak.
